Cesspit is a 6 piece ska band from Singapore who writes and produces their own songs. Influenced by punk rock, folk, traditional, latin and reggae, they have been around since 1995. Originally an Oi! Band, they switched to ska with the introduction of a horn section, dishing out and rocking stages with catchy tunes, crazy horn blasts and skanking melodies. Their tracks, ‘Wake Up’ and ‘Punkrock Gangster’ is a well-loved tune amongst the local gigging scene, often pullin in crowds to full house during shows in Esplanade and gigs around the island. Their “Best Before 050403” album, produced in 2003 under the label, Straits Records, was well received during album launch. They were also one of 4 featured bands in Baybeats 2015.
