Terminal Cry, probably the best band that you have never heard of... Yamaha Asian Beat SG Finalist for 2015 and 2016, where they came in second place and third place respectively, Terminal Cry, 5 piece hard rock/metal band serves their music hot and heavy! Building upon the momentum of the success the band competition, they actively began writing fresh original material whilst actively seeking gigging opportunities to showcase their music to the public. One of their many noteworthy gigs was to represent a group of Singaporean bands to perform at the Dari Pemuda Untuk Budaya Music Festival in Bandung, Indonesia on 30 July 2016. This music festival was organized to highlight the musical talents of both Singapore and Indonesia. A crowd of around 1000 people attended this festival and the success of this gig was reported in local Malay newspaper, Berita Harian on 31 August 2016. They also had the honour of performing at the Sembawang GRC Countdown to 2018 at Woodlands Square and playing to a mixed crowd of 1500 people, which included MPs from Sembawang GRC, Mr Khaw Boon Wan, Coordinating Minister for Infrastructure and Minister of Transport, Mr Ong Ye Kun, Minister for Education and Second Minister for Defense, Mr Amrin Amin, Parliamentary Secretary for Home Affairs and Health, Mr Vikram Nair and Dr Lim Wee Kiak. Terminal Cry was also involved in two music festivals that promoted top quality local bands in March 2018. Firstly, local production house, Anaki Records organized Anaki Rocks The City: So Shiok 2018 held at Dhoby Ghaut Green Amphitheater. A good sizeable crowd attended the 2-Day music festival on 24 and 25 March 2018. They were then invited to participate in City65 Music Festival 2018, featuring Singaporean ONLY musical acts that was held on Saturday 31 March 2018 at Fort Gate, Fort Canning Park. This was certainly a highlight as it gave them the opportunity to play to an international crowd that appreciate music that is made in Singapore and had press coverage from both the online and printed media
