Big Getta is a rapper and songwriter born and raised in Lion City, Singapore. Big Getta hopes that his songs can act as a source of connection so that those who are struggling with these same problems will feel a sense of belonging within the community and eventually redeem themselves from prevailing insecurities. His music also acts as a source of comfort and inspiration as they speak of, and are proof in and of themselves, that with hard work it is possible to break from past mistakes, to find one’s true purpose and create something meaningful. Through music, Big Getta hopes to increase awareness on the social issues that affected his life. By expressing the hardship he faced using music as an avenue, not only does he get the opportunity to enlighten the public but also break boundaries, creating a platform for frank discussions of important social issues.
